Iron Blosam Lodge | Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort

The Iron Blosam Lodge is named after a historic Little Cottonwood Canyon Mining Claim "Iron Blosam," hence the phonetic spelling. The rugged concrete and iron structures are dressed with displays of historic mining artifacts and vintage skis. Iron Blosam was fully opened in the fall of 1975, although there was some occupancy during final phases of construction in 1974. Iron Blosam was one of the first shared-ownership properties in the world and was the first in a ski area in North America.
